Shot Of The Day

The Window We Leave Behind [edited]

Stained glass fascinates me. Little shattered pieces of glass. Broken. Some colorful, some drab. Seemingly useless in a pile on the floor. Disconnected. Until the artist picks one little broken piece at a time and places it perfectly into a coherent, meaningful picture that tells a powerful story. I imagine God looking at the disconnected things of our lives. The things we really don’t understand and smiling, knowing how it all fits together in the end. Knowing the beauty of the window that will be left behind. With gratitude for every moment of 2006 and all the color you’ve each added to my life by sharing this journey. Blessings and Merry Christmas. Kat. Image: Chartre Cathedral, France. Hit “previous” below for a related image.
