Shot Of The Day

Key to Venice

The World's A Frame

Simple lessons are the best. They penetrate right down to the fleshy portion of your brain. They resonate. They stick. Early in my photography career, I started asking others for their best shooting tips. I wish I could remember who told me this—the world’s a frame! Every where you look, images are beautifully framed by their natural surroundings. What easily could be an average picture is often transformed into an eye catching image simply because of the natural frame. The partitions to this bridge were not a barrier but a blessing to this subject! May your world be framed by beauty today. TECHNICAL INFO: The water in this image was treated with a solarized Nik filter. The buildings were color burned in Photoshop CS-2 and portions of the buildings were softened using a grain filter.
