Shot Of The Day

Sleeping Gondolas

Sleeping Gondolas

At the peak of summer, Venice was grossly crowded with tourists. On the third day, I realized that shooting before sunrise would be my only hope of getting what I wanted—Italy without tourists. This image, called Sleeping Gondolas, was the image burning in my imagination when I went to Venice in my dreams. Waking up with the sun made it possible to capture. Venice is exactly as you would imagine—and then some. You can view the full image without the Postcard graphic on the Collections page. Look for the Taste of Italy Collection. Enjoy.
