Shot Of The Day

Layers

100 Years

I recently fell in love with a song—100 Years by Five for Fighting. It brilliantly captures the fleeting nature of our human condition and our perspectives at each age. We are but a vapor that barely appears and then disappears. You’re only 15 years old for a moment, but at that age, you think 100 years is forever. At 99, you’re “dying for just another moment.” What will we do with our fleeting time? Will there be brilliant color as people peel back the layers of our lives? Will we LIVE? Turn our vapors into clear droplets of water? Leave a mark? After all, we’ve only got 100 years to live…
