One of the couples I visited in Cuba was granted a visa to come to the US shortly after I returned. Watching a grown man see things and eat things he has never seen or eaten is indescribable. Cereal. Whole milk. Apples. Cantaloupe. Raspberries. Never saw them. Never tasted them. When he tasted his first raspberry, his eyes welled up with tears… “Who is allowed to eat this,” he asked?
