The Cuban national flower, Mariposa, and the favored drink, coffee, fill the air with lasting scents.
Food is not abundant for the Cuban nationals. Their ration cards have a paucity of items and even some of those are unavailable at times. Watching these people savor every morsel of food was an education.
Even the flower is treated as a precious item.
